Google Page Rank 7 Steps to Success

Page rank success utilizes back links. Back links are links to your website from other websites. Experts speculate that the more quality back links your web page receives the higher your page rank.  Here are steps 4 and 5 in the series of 7 steps to success for your Google page rank.

4. Articles: write simple informative articles that will benefit your target market. Then submit those articles to article directories.  The article directories will not allow you to post any direct sales article. You must keep the article informative. However, you will be able to include a brief bio of yourself and a link to your website in the “author box.” Having your article posted in an article directory creates a back link to your site.

Another benefit to article directories is if a reader finds your article beneficial they will post the content on their site. Most article directories have a term of service that states if someone posts your article on their site they must publish the author box. When they publish your author box, it creates a back link to your site.

5. Just ask! Do a simple search in Google and look for sites that compliment your site. Look up the contact information and send a request to the site owner. Ask them if they would link to your site. Be sure to highlight the benefit to the site owner of linking to your site. Explain that they are providing a service to their site visitors.

Don’t get discouraged if your success rate is low. This method of creating back links is similar to making cold calls in the sales world. If a site owner agrees to link to your site if you agree to link to their site be sure to reciprocate. If you each link to each other’s site the page rank benefit will be weakened. To strengthen the reciprocal back link, ask the site owner if they own more than one site and offer to link to a site that is not linking to your site. This will create quality bank links for both owners.
